Data controller
The data controller for this website is Markus Koller, Zollikofen. This privacy policy follows the Swiss Data Protection Act (nDSG) and, where applicable, the GDPR.
What data we process
- Account: email address and display name when you register.
- Ride sign-ups: name and email address, also without an account.
- Profile: optional details such as about text, hobbies and profile picture.
- Content: uploaded images and videos as well as chat messages on rides.
Purpose
We use this data solely to operate the website and organize the rides. There is no advertising, no tracking and no disclosure to third parties.
Storage
Data is stored with our hosting provider (Lovable Cloud) and kept only as long as needed for operations.
Your rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of your data at any time via the contact options on this website. You can edit your profile yourself in the profile section.
Profile chat
Profile chats are shared walls, not private messages. Reading follows profile visibility; owners choose who can write. Messages are cleaned up daily after 24 months by default (up to one additional day). Account removal deletes your profile-chat messages and your own wall. Moderation actions are recorded in the security log.
Visibility and security log
Your profile is visible to signed-in people by default. You can change it to Only me or Everyone. Necessary account and administration actions are logged for security, accessible only to administrators and removed after 12 months by default. Only hashed IP addresses are stored. Notification and theme preferences are saved in your account; the theme is also stored on this device.
Cookies and remembered details
Essential cookies support sign-in and managing your ride registration. Only when you select ‘Remember my details’ do we store your name and email in a cookie on this device for 365 days, to prefill other ride forms and your chat name. This cookie is not used for advertising or analytics.
The cookie is first-party (SameSite=Lax) and is transmitted securely over HTTPS (Secure). Others with access to this device may see your remembered details. You can delete them at any time.
